As a public administration institution, the General Directorate of Industry, Energy and Innovation of the Government of Navarra aims at:
- Stimulating technological innovation within its local enterprises, through the continuous definition and implementation of pro-active regional innovation policies.
- Providing companies with the information they need to define their strategies for innovation.
- Helping with the training of researchers and technologists.
- Contributing to the development of an infrastructure of support centres for innovation.

The Government of Navarra aims to nurture and put in place the best possible conditions for the region, in the face of global competition from individuals, business groups, services and regions. The dedication of financial resources to R+D+i through cooperation and internationalisation is an excellent investment: Navarre is able to, wants to and needs to do this to position itself as a region that is balanced, innovative, sustainable and prosperous within the European Research Area (ERA). In order to achieve this, a new Regional Plan for Science, Technology and Innovation will be launched at the beginning of 2017.
